Following up on Style Hunter’s latest discovery for matchy matchy sister, friend and colleague bloggers, we remember that two of favourite London girls have been doing this for ages – Reem and Natalya Kanj of Five Five Fabulous. They’re often placed in the upper echelons of Grazia Daily’s favourite bloggers, but no doubt you, like us, want to know more about the stylish sisters who split their time between Dubai and the UK.
Grazia Daily: How did you start your blog?
Reem Kanj: I started the blog after graduating, it was my own way of creating a role for myself in the industry after having such a hard time finding a job due to the bad economy. It's been going for just over three years now.
Grazia Daily: What do you like about dressing in coordinating outfits?
Natalya Kanj: Our mum has been dressing us in matching outfits since we were kids, we used to hate it and definitely grew out of it when we were old enough to buy our own clothes but last year we did a shoot together in Dubai and thought it would play nicely on the whole sister aspect of our blog if we dressed in outfits that complimented each others. It was so much fun to see how we could both style the same trend or idea differently.
Grazia Daily: What would you say are your signature styles and how do they differ?
Reem Kanj: I think my signature style is quite boring to be honest! Skinny jeans, a baggy t shirt and an up do... I like to be comfortable, whereas I think Natalya knows how to throw in a statement or two without making it look like too much of an effort.
Grazia Daily: Do you ever have to buy two of things?
Natalya Kanj: Only when we didn't live together, but now that we share a flat it's like having one huge wardrobe, it's funny because sometimes we'll shop separately and realise we've bought the same thing! Our taste is almost exactly the same but the way we would wear pieces definitely differs.
Grazia Daily: What are your favourite pieces right now and your top places to shop?
Reem Kanj: My favourite pieces in our wardrobe right now have to be my 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel, Acne leather pants and American Vintage t shirts.
Natalya Kanj: Right now I'm loving my Brian Lichtenberg Homies T-shirt, a pair of Zara jeans and my customised Converse. Our favourite places to shop are Theory, Shopbop.com and Matches.
