When Stella McCartney picked up not one but TWO gongs at the British Fashion Awards in November, we didn't think her year could get any better. Winning Brand of the Year as well as Designer of the Year was the icing on a very fash-tastic cake that has seen the designer create the Team GB kit for all our Olympians, a return to the London catwalk for a one-off eveningwear show not to mention her 40th birthday. Yep, 2012 has been Stella's year.
With just days before the start of 2013, the Brit has added yet another accolade to her bulging CV. Huge congrats to Stella who has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours List, joining other heroes of 2012 from Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farah to Jessica Ennis and Victoria Pendleton, a self-confessed McCartney lover.
