A high-profile catwalk slot at London Fashion Week, his own Topshop line, a British Fashion Award AND the first designer to collaborate with Donatella Versace during a new era at Versus? It's safe to say J.W. Anderson has had a stellar 2012. And today, even more exciting news has landed to give another oomph to the designer's fashion ascent. Yep, Mr Anderson has been awarded top-tier NEWGEN support.

Sponsored by Topshop, this means the designer will receive financial help towards show costs as well as the opportunity to use the BFC Show Space to present his Autumn Winter 2013 collection during London Fashion Week in February next year. J.W.'s fellow up-and-coming designer Simone Rocha has also been awarded sponsorship. Congrats to them both!
'The NEWGEN bar is set so high: to qualify, designers must prove their originality, excellence and openness to learning how to take first steps in businesses,' said Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent and chair of the NEWGEN selection committee. 'This season's winners are a snapshot of what London is now - a varied group of vivid individualists, from many countries.'
If previous NEWGEN recipients are anything to go by - we're talking Christopher Kane, Erdem and Peter Pilotto - they're set to shine brighter than ever.
