Forget the latest Proenza bag, there's one item storming London Fashion Week this season: the Black Score T-shirt. It all began at the House of Grazia where top illustrator Simeon Farrar popped in to design a selection of tees exclusively for yours truly. 'I’d already made these drawings of the models so we decided to go with them,' he told us. 'It just felt right to do a range with all British models for London Fashion Week'.
And he's not wrong. The range of white T-shirts feature three designs: one starring Cara Delevinge with the caption 'Queen Delevingne', one featuring Jourdan Dunn with the slogan 'No.1 Dunn' and the other with Georgia May Jagger reading 'Swagger like Jagger'. Genius. No wonder they're catching on.
But it's not just the Grazia team who are loving the tees. When Grazia's web editor bumped into Cara at the Rihanna for River Island show on Saturday, she gave the mega model her namesake creation. 'I looove it!' Cara squealed with delight before showing it off to her bestie Jourdan. And Simeon's reaction? 'Cara has really supported us and put us on the map,' he told us. 'We love the fact that, as small as our brand is, she’s tweeting and instagramming in our T-shirts.' And it doesn't end there...
Cut to Monday and Rita Ora arrives at Burberry's Autumn Winter 2013 show, for which Cara graced the catwalk, sporting the very same tee. The singer revealed that Cara gave it to her to wear for the show, presumably when they were spotted together after Rihanna's show. So considering these two are officially 'wifeys', what better way to seal their love?
But there's more! After the Burberry extavaganza, Cara left the backstage area wearing - you guessed it - one of the Black Score tees. Instead of sporting her own face (which, we admit, would be slightly odd), the blonde Brit opted for the Jourdan design in support of her catwalking pal. Yes folks, it looks like we've kick started a trend.
So for the final day of London Fashion Week, us Graziettes are wearing the tees in support of our three favourite models. The designs aren't available to buy (yet) but you can check out more of Simeon's T-shirts on his website, blackscore.co.uk. Who ever will be next?
