Kristen Stewart Stays True To Her Low-Key Style For V Magazine and Says It's All About 'Embracing Your Fears'

Kristen Stewart is on the cover of V Magazine, but this time she's not trussed up in couture with oodles of glossy locks. For this shoot she's looking, well, just like K-Stew. It's unlike other covers we've seen when the actress is transformed into a high-heel wearing glamazon - remember that Vanity Fair shoot when she sported poker straight hair and struck a (uncomfortable) pose in frothy designer gowns, par exemple.

So hoorah for V Magazine who are embracing the Converse-wearing Kristen in all her no-fuss glory. The shoot sees her wearing her off-duty garments of choice: a white tank top with a flash of a black bra. Meanwhile, her brunette hair is left unkempt and - dare we say it - a tad greasy. Basically, it's exactly how we imagine K-Stew looking when she's lolling round the house with R-Pattz.

So are we witnessing the new K-Stew who won't let fashion magazines dictate her style? She certainly appeared to be more comfortable in her own skin during the world's longest film promotion for On The Road. It seems THAT scandal last summer has encouraged her to embrace her flaws, as well as her fabness.

'I have realised that you can close yourself off to life if you put walls up, but it's a difficult thing,' she says in the accompanying V Magazine interview. 'You can't see over people, can't see in and you also can't see out. So I have gotten quite comfortable with being unafraid. I keep saying the same thing, it's not about being fearless but really just embracing the fears and using them.'

In the editorial she looks more comfortable than ever wearing a draped dress by Balenciaga - designed by Nicolas Ghesquere before he left the brand, of course. It's a rather gothic, very haunting look. She also sports trousers by Victoria Beckham, which is a suitably low-key look in comparison to the orange Victoria Beckham number she wore to promote Twilight last year.

Isn't it refreshing to just see Kristen finally being herself, attitude and all? We highly approve. See more images from the shoot in the gallery below...
