Didn't we tell you Rita Ora is one to watch? We're just a few weeks into the New Year and it's just been announced that the Brit singer has a top-notch fashion house on tap. Step forward Emilio Pucci. The Italian fashion house, famous for its geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colours, has noted Rita's rising star and wisely so - this is one girl who's set to go stratespheric in 2013.
Rita is kicking off her Radioactive Tour with a concert in Manchester tonight and we've been treated to a sneak preview of her stage wardrobe. The Emilio Pucci creations have a military edge perfect for Rita's fierce demanour - see the printed army jacket (cropped to show off her teeny waist, natch) and matching combat trousers. Hello GI Jane! There's also a ginormous green cape to go with a peaked cap and sparkling bodysuit.
Peter Dundas worked with La Ora to create the costumes and make the most of her urban glamour. 'From the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like only a natural progression,' says the designer. 'The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic.'
Indeed, the pair have already proved to be a fine match. Rita wore a Dundas-designed gown to Bergdorf Goodman’s 111th anniversary back in October and looked nothing short of a classic screen siren thanks to the cream halter silk number with sheer panels at the waist topped off with her retro beauty. Rita was seen schmoozing with Peter at the New York event and the two clearly hit it off, unsurprisingly so considering they're both from Blighty. And you'll remember a month before, she was walking the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards wearing a rather risque Emilio Pucci jumpsuit.
So could this be the start of a new fashion friendship? As we wait with baited breath, check out some of Rita's finest fashion moments in the gallery below >>
