Who could forget Right Leg Gate at the 2012 Oscar Awards? Angelina Jolie's jaunty pose sparked an internet storm, a zillion memes and a Twitter account dedicated to her toned thigh. And it seems that one year on, Angie's fellow A-listers are STILL taking a cue from her red carpet rule book by jumping aboard the thigh-high slit bangwagon.

The latest culprit is Jennifer Lopez who rocked up to the Grammy Awards on Sunday night channelling La Jolie with aplomb. The singer-slash-actress wore a floor-length, super-tight black gown by Anthony Vaccarello accessorised with a Jimmy Choo clutch, metallic-accented heels and a whole lotta leg. Granted, J-Lo has a lot to live up to after wearing THAT plunging Versace dress to the Grammys - and that was 13 years ago - and yes, we know she's bringing the sexy back bigger than ever. But this pelvic-bone-revealing way of grabbing headlines is not-so-subtle.

But it's not just Jennifer getting in on the act. Solange Knowles, Florence Welch and Taylor Swift also rocked the Right Leg at the swanky Grammys ceremony - admittedly, far more demurely - in an attempt to flash some flesh while sticking to the strict dress code. Yes, this continues to be THE red carpet trend of the moment.
5. Eva Longoria 6. Halle Berry
Rewind to the Golden Globe Awards last month when we saw Hollywood's glitterati striking a familiar pose as this year's awards season kicked into action. Eva Longoria made the most of her legs with a hip-jutting stance while our very own Rosie Huntington Whiteley gave Angie’s signature style a go. But it was Halle Berry who out did them all when she dramatically pointed her pins through a flowing Roberto Cavalli gown to avoid getting swamped under all that multi-coloured fabric.
7. Lea Michele 8. Rihanna
As for Lea Michele, she's become a pro at Right Leg-ing and we've seen the likes of Rihanna and Heidi Klum following suit time and time again. But perhaps the best (or should that be worst?) Jolie impersonation came courtesy of Anja Rubik who went all the way at the Met Ball in her pelvic-bone-revealing Anthony Vaccaro dress. No underwear + hip-high slit? Yikes.

Who woulda thought that Angelina's fashion fail, which got everyone talking/gossiping/tittering (delete as appropriate), would continue to spawn an army of copycats? Either way, she's certainly having the last laugh now. So whose limb will be the breakout star of this year's Academy Awards? Unless the Hollywood lot are looking to do a Liz Hurley moment, its probs best to leave the hip baring to J-Lo.
