This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday when the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL) is played and is even considered a national holiday by some. Not only is it the second-largest day for U.S. food consumption after Thanksgiving Day (yes really!) but in addition the Super Bowl has often been the most watched American television broadcast of the year and sporting event in the world. So with big bucks involved, the eight minute entertainment slot is always highly anticipated - previous iconic performances include Madonna last year, Prince in 2007 and Michael Jackson in 1993 - and this year it’s Beyonce.

Over the past few days Beyoncé has been posting a lot of exciting behind the scenes photographs on her Tumblr page both of herself and her dancers in rehearsals for the massive performance. She even included an official promo shot in which she looks fabulous in a football style uniform. Now, we’re not trying to pretend we are remotely interested in the actual game-viewing element of this event (well, aside from the American football players super tight sports kits, ahem) but if you’re heading out to a Super Bowl event like us then why not channel a sports luxe inspired look too.
