Update, January 24th 2013: Victoria Beckham's e-commerce site may not launch until next month, but the British designer has just released a video teaser to whet our appetites. The 17 second clip which includes shots of models in Victoria Beckham pieces features a voiceover from the Spice Girl herself who utters the line "What do people expect of me... mmm, I think people expect the best."
We absolutely do Victoria, and we reckon this site might just deliver as its the brainchild of King & Partners who have previously built online fashion portals for everyone from Marc Jacobs to CR Fashion Book.
Victoria, who has recently relocated to the UK with her family, has already posted plenty of video footage on the site's holding page, including a clip of model of the moment Cara Delevingne performing ballet – keep clicking through until you find it!
December 18th 2012: It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Beckhams. After hitting the red carpet for the premiere of Spice Girls musical Viva Forever last Tuesday, the family celebrated the unveiling of Romeo's first big fashion campaign yesterday. And while the youngster started trending on Twitter as a result of his Burberry Spring/ Summer 2013 shoot alongside models Edie Campbell and Charlie France, Victoria Beckham announced the latest move in the direction of her own fashion brand.
That's right folks, if there wasn't already enough temptation to splash out on the style icon's uber chic wares, the mother of four is set to launch her first e-commerce site so you can shop at the click of mouse. VB's new online platform will showcase her accessories, eyewear, denim and Victoria Victoria Beckham line and will offer users the opportunity to share the brand's content via social media. If that wasn't enough the designer is also promising to give us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her world via videos that will be posted on the website.
Victoria revealed: "My new website has been in the making for a very long time. It was so important that the concept, tone and look of it were true to me and my aesthetic and that the shopping experience was the very best that it could be for my customer. The site will be ever evolving featuring never seen before insights into my world through the medium of film. I'm incredibly excited with what I have created and the unique access to the brand I am now able to offer."
