So what’s the look? A niche mix of African trad, high fashion, high-vis colour, clashing prints, and lots of individual accessorising.
This sums it up: The sister's favourite this year was Solange in a cream short suit from Esteban Cortazar (a new label the Offodiles are obsessed with). She wore it to a fundraising dinner with the Barack Obama. The girls told us, 'It was a very modern and exciting twist to the classic pant suit look - a major trend to watch out for in Spring 2013.' Are you listening?
Labels to look out for: For Ogo, Peter Pilotto, Celine, Stella McCartney, Valentino and her one-to-watch is Russianista Vika Gazinskaya. And for Chichi, Rick Owens, Jill Sander, Celine, Donna Karan, and Tom Ford. The girls hit River Island, Topshop and Zara for a high street fix.
The item you need now: 'We think leather ensembles are must haves for the autumn/winter season! They effortlessly offer a strong, clean, feminine silhouette. An all leather look can be broken down and paired with other textures like denim, lace, or simple white shirt. Ultra versatile.' Roger that.
Ogo and Chichi's top 3 styling tips:
1. 'Mixing prints make for a great statement but can also be a recipe for disaster when done wrong.' So how to get it right? 'Think of the patterns as being in a great relationship. Go for prints that aren't necessarily the same but have a common colour or style. Metallic or nude shoes match spectacularly.'
2. 'Great accessories should be essential staples in every wardrobe. A great pair of heels, clutch or jewelry gives the right edge to any look.'
3. 'Always dress with your body type in mind and looks that express your identity. Have fun with it and allow your style to be a visual expression of who you are.'
