It's no secret that Planet Fashion has gone pet crazy. Last week, we were LOLing at the new trend for human cat tails, we're utterly obsessed with Choupette - aka: Karl Lagerfeld’s cat-slash-diva and Grace Coddington’s tome on Catwalk Cats was top of our Christmas wish list. And now Lashes of London have dropped off their Spring Summer 2013 lookbook, which was - yup - shot in a petshop.
'Catwalk Pets' is the perfect backdrop for showcasing the brand's new collection that features sugar-coated metallics, transparent organza and flamenca frills. Each piece was accessorised with fluffy friends from Alaskan Malamute pups to Jersey Lop bunnies, Persian kittens and even chickens. The shoot was photographed by up and coming photographer Masha Mel, styled by Lulu Wentworth and art directed by Nicole Levy PR. We also have a short film from the shoot taken by Felix Cooper (watch below).
The label was only set up a matter of months ago but Lashes of London have already adopted a Brit girl following that includes Jameela Jamil, Bip Ling and Millie Mackintosh, to name but a few. As for Grazia Daily, they had us at 'petshop'.
The Lashes of London SS13 collection will be available from www.lashesoflondon.com, ASOS, House of Fraser
